Echoes of Azeroth adds a collectible card progression system alongside your normal World of Warcraft adventures. Explore, defeat enemies, complete quests, and discover cards that help shape what you find next.

Build your own collection

Every character has their own self-found collection. Keep up to four creature cards in your active collection and store additional finds in your card bank. Browse your creatures, equipment, spells, and critters in the Collection Journal.

Find your companions

Creature cards have their own levels, quality, type bonuses, and abilities. Their creature type and family help define their identity, giving you reasons to try different companions.

Equip supported creatures with equipment, weapons, and spell cards. Beasts follow a different path, gaining their strength through natural bonuses and abilities instead of equipment.

Chase better cards

Discover creatures across five rarities, with one-, two-, and three-star quality, plus Holofoil, the highest card quality. Duplicate finds can improve an existing card, and Holofoil creatures gain access to special abilities.

Spell cards progress through 12 ranks, with the final rank reserved for level 60 enemies. Higher-rank discoveries replace lower ranks and unlock further leveling.

Make your adventures matter

Abilities respond to the things you already do: combat, discoveries, quests, resting, leveling, gathering, opening chests, and manual activation.

Different spells and companions offer different discovery benefits. Critters bring their own perks, from extra chances at discoveries to supporting your creature’s buffs.

Open dungeon boosters

Complete supported dungeons to earn booster packs featuring dungeon-themed artwork and card reveals. Close a pack during its reveals and return to finish opening it later.

Make it your own

Compare creatures and equipment, inspect your discovery bonuses, and customize your on-screen companion display. Optional combat effects bring your cards to life, and can be disabled while their gameplay effects continue working.

EoA’s bonuses affect its card-collection systems. They do not increase your character’s actual combat stats or ordinary WoW loot drops.
