DynamicConsumables

DynamicConsumables keeps your best recovery items available through one configurable, context-aware macro. It automatically scans your bags and updates the macro whenever your inventory, level, or known spells change.

How It Works

In combat

  • Health modifier: uses your best healing potion.
  • Mana modifier: uses your best mana potion.

Out of combat

  • Health modifier: uses your best healing food.
  • Mana modifier: uses your best mana-restoring food or drink.

At any time

  • Bandage modifier: uses your best available bandage.
  • If no matching item is available, the macro displays your Hearthstone instead.

Default Modifiers

  • Health: no modifier
  • Mana: Shift
  • Bandage: Ctrl
  • Conjure: Alt

Mages can use the Conjure modifier to cast their highest known Conjure Food spell. Combining the Conjure and Mana modifiers casts their highest known Conjure Water spell.

Every modifier can be changed from the addon’s settings panel.

Features

  • Automatically selects the strongest usable consumable in your bags.
  • Optional preference for conjured food and drinks, enabled by default.
  • Supports combined health-and-mana consumables.
  • Updates automatically when your bags, level, skills, or spells change.
  • Uses a single account-wide macro with a blank name.
  • Includes a draggable minimap button for opening settings.
  • Settings can also be opened with /dc or /dynamicconsumables.
  • Completely standalone with no required dependencies.
  • Designed for World of Warcraft: Forever.

Setup

  1. Log in or reload your UI after installing the addon.
  2. Open the World of Warcraft macro window.
  3. Find the unnamed macro created by DynamicConsumables.
  4. Drag it onto your action bar.
  5. Click the minimap button or type /dc to configure your modifiers.

DynamicConsumables never consumes items automatically—it only keeps your macro updated. Macro changes that occur during combat are applied when combat ends.
