# Cutthroat
**Combo point pips and finisher timers that actually work in combat — built for WoW Forever.**
WoW Forever hides combat data from addons. Combo points come back as "secret" values that addons
aren't allowed to read or do maths on, and buffs can't be looked up at all while you're fighting.
That's why the usual WeakAuras and combo point addons don't work here.
Cutthroat stays inside those rules instead of fighting them. It never reads your combo points or
your buffs in combat — and it still shows you both.
## Features
- **Combo point pips** — pips appear one at a time as you earn them, and pips four and five change
colour so a full bar is obvious at a glance. Twelve shapes to choose from, including crossed
daggers and axes.
- **Timer bars for Slice and Dice, Expose Armor and Rupture** — each one counts down from the moment
you cast, right through the fight.
- **Expiry warning** — a bar turns red and pulses for its last 5 seconds so you know to refresh.
- **Rupture and Expose Armor are tracked per target** — put Rupture on two mobs and each keeps its
own countdown. Switch targets and the right one is shown.
- **Talent-aware** — learns your Improved Slice and Dice bonus automatically the first time it sees
the buff out of combat.
- **Arrange it how you like** — stack the bars vertically or sit them side by side, reorder them,
turn off the ones you don't use, and size each bar's width and height independently.
- **Combo points your way** — above the bars or below them, hidden entirely if you already use
another combo point display, or always on screen as empty sockets so you have a fixed anchor.
- **Move it, lock it, scale it** — drag it anywhere, lock it in place (clicks pass straight through
once locked), and scale the whole thing from 0.5x to 3x.
- **Settings panel** — type `/cut` to open it. Escape closes it.
- **Per-character settings** — each rogue keeps their own layout.

## Known limitations
These are consequences of what the client allows addons to see, not bugs, and they can't be worked
around from inside an addon:
- **A finisher that misses or is dodged still starts its timer.** The client tells addons that the
ability went off, but not whether it connected — and debuffs can't be read during combat to check.
Cutthroat clears any countdown that didn't really land as soon as you leave combat, but during the
fight the bar will keep running.
- **Expose Armor and Rupture can't be told apart from another rogue's.** If someone else has the same
debuff on your target, Cutthroat treats it as yours.
- **Durations during combat are calculated, not read.** Cutthroat works them out from your combo
points at the moment you cast. The moment it can see the real buff or debuff — out of combat — it
corrects itself.
