Bestiary TCG
Turn every creature you kill into a collectible card.
Every NPC you defeat drops a secret, face-down card into your loot pack. Fill the pack, open it with the points you earn, and discover what you caught: a Common boar, or maybe a Legendary Chrome Full Art world boss. Build your collection, trade with your friends, show off your best pulls, and visit the Ethereal Merchant when the Darkmoon Faire comes to town.
For World of Warcraft Retail (Midnight) and World of Warcraft: Forever. One download works in both.
Getting started
- Kill creatures. Each one drops a face-down card into your zone's loot pack.
- Turn in quests and kill creatures to earn Bestiary points.
- When a pack is sealed, open it from the main window (
/btor the minimap button). - Browse your cards in the Collection tab, trade them with friends, or burn the ones you don't want.
- When the Darkmoon Faire is in town, visit the Ethereal Merchant to give your mystery cards a race or a name.

Features
Collect as you play
- Every kill becomes a card with a 3D portrait of the creature, Cost, Attack, Health, its race, its faction and an ability.
- Nothing to set up: kills are detected while you quest, level, run dungeons and raids, or farm at max level.
- The bestiary is secret. You only find out which creature a card is when you open the pack.
Your collection
- A collection tab with compact cards showing the 3D model, mana, name, faction and race logos, ability, Attack and Health.
- Filters that combine:
- Rarity and Chrome/Full Art.
- Mana cost (1 to 10), race and faction.
- Search by name or by ability (for example "snipe").
- Hide cards without an ability, hide cards of unknown race, and bosses only.

Loot packs
- Each zone fills its own pack (Loot Pack · Elwynn Forest), with one card per creature. Five cards seal it.
- Your sealed packs sit in the main window. Hover one and it starts to tear open; click it to open it.
- Cards turn over one by one, with a glow for rare pulls and a fanfare for Legendaries.
Boss Packs
- Killing a dungeon boss, raid boss or world boss gives you a free Boss Pack named after it.
- It holds only the boss card, always Rare or better.
- Boss cards have legendary stats (Cost 5 to 10) and a Boss Power of two abilities unique to that boss.
Cards with real stats
- Attack and Health come from real Hearthstone stat lines for each Cost, from 1 to 10.
- Some creatures are glass cannons, others are walls: beasts and demons hit hard, giants and mechanicals take hits.
- Every rarity and every special finish rolls its own stats, so a better copy of the same creature is a new card.
Races, factions and abilities
- 10 races: Beast, Critter, Humanoid, Undead, Dragonkin, Elemental, Demon, Mechanical, Giant and Aberration.
- 5 factions, each with its own logo on the card: Wild, Elemental, Shadow, Forge and Neutral.
- Abilities: each race has 5 abilities (Pack, Sneak, Enrage, Haste, Rise, Poison, Taunt, Thorns, Snipe and many more).
- Every creature gets one of them, always the same one.
- About 30% of creatures have none.

Rarity and special finishes
Every card rolls its own rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Legendary, in the WoW item quality colors. A world boss can be Common and a boar can be Legendary.
| Rarity | Chance |
|---|---|
| Common | 55% |
| Uncommon | 28% |
| Rare | 11% |
| Epic | 5% |
| Legendary | 1% |
Special finishes are rolled apart from rarity and stack with it:
| Finish | Chance |
|---|---|
| Chrome (prismatic foil with a moving shine) | 2% (1 in 50) |
| Full Art (the creature fills the whole card) | 1% (1 in 100) |
| Chrome + Full Art | 1 in 5,000 |
| Legendary + Chrome + Full Art | 1 in 500,000 |

Play with others
- Trading: trade cards with anyone in your group. Both players build an offer and the trade happens when both accept.
- Captured by: every card remembers who caught it. Cards you receive show Captured by <name> forever.
- Sharing: share a card with Ctrl+click and your character shows it off in chat. Nearby players with Bestiary TCG see it as a clickable link, like an item link, and can open the whole card.
Arena uses the same stats, races, abilities and Moon-bound cards.
Feels like part of the game
- One main window with tabs (Packs, Collection, Ethereal Merchant), styled like the default UI.
- A minimap button, plus in-game rules and FAQ.
- Available in English, Spanish, Chinese and Portuguese (follows your game language).

Good to know
- Each character has its own collection. Retail and Forever keep separate data.
- Trading and card links need Bestiary TCG on both sides. Trades can only start out of combat.
- In dungeons and raids the game hides creature names during combat. They are filled in a few seconds after the fight; if one stays as "NPC #1234", the Ethereal Merchant can name it.
- The Darkmoon Faire opens once a month for a week. On Retail it starts the first Sunday of the month; on Forever it starts the first Monday.
The Ethereal Merchant (Darkmoon Faire)
He travels with the Darkmoon Faire. While the faire is open, his tab lets you fix two kinds of cards:
- Give a race to a card . Pick any race; the card gets an ability and stats of that race. Price: 500 Bestiary points and 5 pack purchases.
- Give a name to a card . Type any name you like. Price: 100 Bestiary points and 1 pack purchase.
Prices are fixed and never go up.
Fixed cards become Moon-bound ,its a new logo to mark the change.
When the faire is closed, the tab shows a wooden sign with a countdown to the next faire.
Points
- Kills: 5 Bestiary points per kill (10 for elites, 50 for rares and bosses).
- Quests: 100 Bestiary points per quest turned in. Quests also give pack purchases.
- Burning: don't need a card? Burn it for points: from 4 for a Common up to 30 for a Legendary, doubled for Chrome and again for Full Art.
