almtools is a small quality-of-life toolbox for World of Warcraft: Forever. One addon with a handful of independent toggleable modules — turn off anything you don't want.

Features

Auto-quest – picks up available quests from NPCs, accepts shared quests, and turns in completed ones (turn-ins first, then accepts). Quests with a reward choice are left open for you to pick, and so are the rare turn-ins that charge you gold. Grey (trivial) quests and escort quests are skipped by default, so you never pick one up by accident. Hold Shift as you open the dialog to bypass — that choice sticks for the whole conversation.

Vendor – sells grey junk the moment a vendor opens and tells you what it earned. Optional auto-repair. Hold Shift to bypass.

Bags and bank – item tooltips show how many you have in your bags, bank and equipped ("Bags 6 · Bank 14"), straight from the game, anywhere. A bank tab on the side of your bags (or /alm bank) opens your bank as it was at your last visit, laid out like the game's own. The bag window can be dragged wherever you like.

Flight times – hover a destination on the flight map to see how long the flight takes. 31 routes so far, with more added as they're flown.

Trainer map pins – profession and class trainers on the world map (464 trainers across 35 zones), including Forever's new ones. Toggle each profession, show your own class's trainers, click a pin to set a map waypoint. Off by default.

Recipe vendor pins – vendors selling recipes on the world map (510 recipes from 223 vendors), with a toggle per profession. Hover for what they sell, the skill each recipe needs and notes like limited stock; recipes you already know are marked Known.

Threat on nameplates – your threat % beside your target's nameplate, and a coloured dot beside every other mob you're on the threat list of. Optional tank mode colours: green = securely yours, red = loose.

Combo points on nameplates – a row of dots above (or below) your target's nameplate, ramping red through green as you build toward a finisher. Size and position are adjustable.

Food buff tracker – an icon and countdown for your Well Fed buff, with an optional reminder when you have none and a chat + sound alert when it runs out. Drag it wherever you like. Off by default.

XP bar – the XP bar tooltip gains XP to level, rested XP as a % of a level, and the XP waiting in your quest log; a gold segment on the bar shows what your completed quests will pay.

Info bar – a slim strip along the top (or bottom) of the screen with XP/hour and time to level, gold and gold/hour, lowest durability, FPS/latency and a clock. Each segment can be turned off.

Small fixes – hides the beta "Issue Reporter" button; makes the party/raid manager tab on the left screen edge movable and shrinks it to just the arrow; optional auto-decline of duel requests.

Configuration

  • /alm or Esc → Options → AddOns → almtools for the settings panel
  • Click the minimap gear for a quick-options menu; Shift-click opens settings
  • /alm help lists slash commands
  • /alm bank opens your bank; /alm bags reset puts the bag window back
  • On the info bar: Shift-click opens its settings, Ctrl-right-click resets the session counters

Notes

Built for WoW: Forever (Interface 16001). If a game patch greys it out, tick Load out of date AddOns at character select.

Settings are saved between sessions. Most are shared by all your characters; the character-specific ones — food buff, threat tank mode, combo points, and which trainer and recipe pins show — are set per character.

Some values are hidden from addons by the client (combo points, and threat numbers on mobs that aren't your current target). Where that happens almtools shows what it can rather than guessing — combo point dots are drawn by the client from a value the addon never reads, and mobs other than your target get a status-coloured dot instead of a percentage.
