PlateBuffs

PlateBuffs is a legacy addon originally created by Cyprias, whose final release targeted WoW 6.0.2. Kader later backported it to WoW 3.3.5a, and this fork builds on that backport with new functionality, visual upgrades, bug fixes and targeted optimizations.

Additional Features

• Reorganized user interface, with features arranged in a more logical order.
• Default spells now adapt to the player's class.
• Extra textures for the icon border.
• Option to change the anchor point of the duration text.
• Improved blink animation, plus a complementary fade-out animation.
• Improved nameplate-GUID mapping via target and mouseover.
• Interrupt effects shown as simulated debuffs on players.
• Enhanced DR tracking system.
• Custom radial "Swipe" overlay that no longer resets when the nameplate moves.
• Added C_NamePlate API support (AwesomeWotlk clients).

Optimizations

• Reworked aura tracking: a single, leaner system replaces the previous duplicated one, reducing redundant event processing.
• Memory usage no longer grows over long sessions: stale unit data is cleaned up automatically.
• With the C_NamePlate API, unnecessary event processing is skipped for lower CPU usage.
