Overview
Originally developed for modern WoW, this backport brings the full power of Method Raid Tools to 3.3.5a private servers. Every module has been carefully adapted, tested, and optimized to work flawlessly in WotLK, with numerous stability fixes and performance enhancements.
Whether you need to track raid cooldowns, manage assignments, log fights, inspect gear, or automate invites – MRT has you covered.
Core Modules

| Raid Cooldowns | Tracks all raid cooldowns (healing, defensive, offensive) and displays them with customizable bars. Supports talents, glyphs, spell charges, battle resurrections, dispels, and even custom spells. |
| Reminders | Displays useful text messages during fights. Quickly set up reminders via timeline or assignment system. |
| Notes | Shows a persistent note on your UI that can be broadcast to all raid members. |
| Fight Log | Saves extensive combat data and displays it on a dedicated page. Tracks: damage to enemy units, target switching times, damage taken, healing per target, interrupts & dispels, buffs/debuffs, spell logs, energy/resource gains, DPS/health/power graphs, and raid/boss frame history. |
| Battle Resurrection | Shows the status of available battle rezzes in raid encounters. |
| Raid Inspect | Inspects all raid members and displays item level, talents, equipped items, spec, missing gems/enchants, and low-level gear. |
| Raid Check | Checks food, flask, and rune buffs on raid members. Shows a dedicated window during ready checks. |
| Invite Tools | Invite guild members to raid, auto-promote, auto-accept invites, disband raid, or disband and reinvite with one click. |
| Marks Bar | Quick access to raid markers and world markers. |
| Timers | Send pull timers, AFK timers, or custom timers to BigWigs and DBM. Includes a combat timer. |
| Raid Groups | Save and restore player setups in raid groups with a few clicks. |
| Raid Attendance | History of raid rosters over time. |
| Encounters Statistics | Saves stats per boss: pull count, kills, raid average item level, fight length, and first-blood kills. |
| Loot History | Logs boss drops and who looted each item. |
| Loot to Chat | Automatically links all loot dropped from raid bosses to raid chat. |
| Saving Log (AutoLogging) | Automatically enables combat logging in raid zones (saves to Logs\WoWCombatLog.txt). |
| WeakAuras Checker | Checks if raid members have required WeakAuras. |
| Interrupts | Assign players to interrupt specific enemy spells. Includes automarking of mobs by name or players with debuffs/buffs. |
What Makes This Backport Different?
This is not a simple copy-paste of the retail version. Extensive fixes and optimizations have been applied to ensure smooth operation on 3.3.5a:
Full WotLK Compatibility – All modules work correctly without Lua errors or missing API calls.
Improved Performance – Optimized event handling and reduced CPU usage. Memory consumption is noticeably lower than other MRT ports.
Fixed Raid Cooldowns – Correctly tracks spells that behave differently in WotLK (e.g., Divine Sacrifice, Pain Suppression, Power Infusion). No more ghost bars or missing cooldowns.
Reliable Fight Log – The combat log parser has been rewritten to handle WotLK’s log format, including pet damage, absorbs, and overhealing. No data loss during heavy raid events.
Stable Raid Inspect – Fixed inspection timeouts and inaccurate talent detection. Now works even when players are moving or in combat.
No Taint Issues – Carefully reviewed to avoid Blizzard UI taint, preventing unexpected disconnects or broken frames.
Lightweight – Optional modules load only when needed. Unused features consume zero memory.
Compatibility – Works alongside DBM, BigWigs, ElvUI, Grid2, Clique, and other popular addons without conflicts.
