ClassicAPI is simply an addon that stores and emulates certain functions, templates, and systems from WoW Classic. The goal is to streamline the development process a bit to alleviate time spent backporting. Not everything can be ported, but bridging the gap as much as possible, allowing the compatibility and creation of more modern addons, improving the gameplay experience on the older 3.3.5a client.
