World Recorder records loot and gathering while you play WoW Forever. Your World Recorder page on azeroth.wiki shows items by quality, the corpses and objects you looted, and the materials you gathered most.
WoW Forever installation
Extract the WorldRecorder folder into World of Warcraft/_forever_/Interface/AddOns/. This is World Recorder 1.7.6 for WoW Forever 1.60.1 (interface 16001). Retail and other Classic clients are not supported by this file.
The addon keeps its records on your computer and sends nothing itself. To send automatically and keep the addon updated, install the separate World Recorder program for Windows or macOS from the guide, sign in to azeroth.wiki and link this computer.
Send without the program
Install only the addon, then play and log out, exit or type /wrsave. Sign in at https://azeroth.wiki/account/world-recorder. Under Send a save file, choose WorldRecorder.lua from World of Warcraft/_forever_/WTF/Account/<your account>/SavedVariables/. On macOS, the usual install root is /Applications/World of Warcraft/.
Send the file after each session and before game updates. Only the file you choose is sent; the addon starts new records with each game version.
Your data
The save contains loot, kills, quests, NPC services, fishing, creature observations, auction prices and character snapshots: name, realm, guild, level, money, equipment, talents, professions and completed quests, plus a random save id. The optional program adds a random install id and its version; your computer name is sent once when linking. Account-folder names, file paths and computer usernames are not sent.
Characters appear on your public azeroth.wiki profile until you clear Public for a character. Money stays private. Recorded-play totals stay private unless you show them. Other gameplay observations are combined with other players' records. Unlink a computer on your profile to stop automatic sending.

World Recorder 1.7.6
The addon’s in-game messages and website field now name azeroth.wiki. The site moves to azeroth.wiki on November 1, 2026; the separate program sends records there and works with the World Recorder page on either address, so nothing needs reinstalling.
Since 1.7.3: ready for WoW Forever’s launch client in the _forever_ folder, in every region. Each save has its own id and a checksum, gathered objects use their in-game names, and the lookup keeps your place when reopened.
