Narrated zone lore for Spoken Player's Zones module. This addon is data only — it does nothing on its own.
The voice, as of 0.3.0
Every line was re-recorded with a new narrator — picked for the tone the lore deserves rather than for getting a first pass made cheaply — and the names of NPCs and places now go through a pronunciation dictionary, so Lordaeron sounds the same in every line it appears in.
That doesn't make it finished. With this many lines, some readings will still land flat and some names will still come out wrong. If a line reads badly, report it: there's a Feedback button on lore.rusty.one, and per-line re-rolls follow what comes in.
The lore text was rewritten in the same release to describe the world as a vanilla character finds it. Where a line's text gets fixed, its narration is regenerated — so an occasional re-download is expected.
Installing
Install Spoken Player first; this pack is inert without it. Extract into Interface/AddOns and leave the folder name as shipped — Spoken finds packs by folder name.
Compatibility
Built for Classic Era 1.15.9, with Spoken Player 3.0.0 or later.
Support
Every one of these lines — and there are a lot of them — costs money to synthesise, and every reported fix costs it again. If the narration is worth something to you, buy me a coffee — it's what funds the fixes.
Credits
The narration is generated from lore text derived from warcraft.wiki.gg and licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. Attribution: warcraft.wiki.gg contributors.
